On 5 February 2015 Adrian Graham and Julian Pitts of Begbies Traynor were appointed as joint administrators of Pure-air Building Services Limited.
Based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Pure-air was founded in 2006 to supply, install and maintain air conditioning and ventilation plant and services. It expanded to offer a range of mechanical and electrical services, including design, prefabrication, installation and maintenance of air conditioning, plumbing, heating and ventilation, alongside electrical services including data, fire and security. The company worked across many sectors such as health, leisure, accommodation including care homes and hotels, education and mixed-use developments.
Pure-air ran into financial problems caused by slow payment and short payment on contracts which led to all 106 staff being made redundant and the company ceasing to trade prior to the administration.
Joint administrator Adrian Graham said: “The company has struggled for some time due to cash flow difficulties caused by slow payment by contractors. Unfortunately, by the time we became involved the workforce had been laid off and the business had ceased trading, meaning there was little left to salvage.
“We are currently marketing Pure-air’s premises on Fulwood Industrial Estate in order to secure the best return we can for creditors.”
