Phil Stone

After completing a BA(Hons) Accounting and Finance degree in 2000, Phil commenced his career in the business turnaround and insolvency profession. 

He qualified as a Certified Account in 2006 and passed the JIEB examinations at the first attempt to qualify as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2018.  He is licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

Having worked for two local organisations, he joined the Sheffield office of Begbies Traynor as an appointment taking insolvency practitioner in May 2022.

Over the years he has gained extensive experience in all insolvency procedures and turnaround, specialising in corporate assignments both locally and nationwide.  Phil prides himself on his technical knowledge and attention to detail, working closely with business owners and their professional advisors to find the most appropriate solution to the difficulties being encountered.

Outside of work Phil enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and partaking in, and watching, an array of sports.
